  • Welcome to my blog. This is the area where you learn about me; someone you can trust to capture all your treasured memories. I love showing your story through photos - the story of a wedding celebration, a growing family, and friendships. I have lived through each stage and event, and loved scrap booking my memories and my story with photographs. My goal is to capture the real you.

    I am a mother of two wonderful children who changed my life the minute they were born and continue to astound me at each new stage. I am a wife to an amazing husband that is my rock and support and best critique ~ THANK YOU! I love to workout although I struggle to find time and I love summer and the golf season. I also love to hear from you – so write a comment or leave a note, and enjoy looking through the photos!! Have a WONDERFUL day, thanks for stopping by and God Bless.

Freeze = My new word. We could be in a parking lot, grocery store, or leaving the house and my kids will be flying around. I try and say, “please stop running” or “can we calm down” or “enough!”, but they only sometimes listen. The word freeze is used at daycare/school and it seems to stop them right in their tracks. Right now I am yelling at summer to just freeze “FREEZE!!!” I mean it is already August, summer is almost over, we are gearing up for kindergarten, my brother is married, I am over half way done with my summer weekend work schedule, and I just want it to freeze. We have not been to the pool enough, picnicked enough, enjoyed outside enough, or relaxed enough.

I feel like I haven’t blogged enough and I CAN NOT believe this infant is already 6 months old. Time is just going WAY to fast. This is a long post and photo overload, but come on he is ADORABLE. He is family and cute and I always enjoy visiting with his parents. Thank you once again for calling and the evening was P.E.R.F.E.C.T.   ENJOY! :)

Mosquitos and Family Fun {Billings, MT Photographer}

Such a wonderful family. I feel so lucky to be asked to take their family photos when they came to Montana all the way from Alaska and it was on the 4th of July. Thank you so much for saving some time for pictures and asking me to take them. It was mosquito filled and quick, but we captured some great pictures of the kids being kids and the family having fun.

I know I’m behind – yes these are from the 4th of July. It has been one of those months and the rest of this week is going to be crazy. Right now I have all the batteries charging, equipment getting packs and creative juices flowing… MY brother is getting married on Friday. I will be back next week with another session – promise.

Sorry these are late, but enjoy the recap of your session.

Beaux {Billings, MT Senior Photographer}

What a beautiful evening for photos. I have been slacking on blogging, sorry. July is a crazy month for me without family flying in from Alaska, working some nights, birthday after birthday, and getting ready for my brother’s wedding. This month is almost over and I CANNOT believe it! Beaux was awesome. He is my neighbor, up for anything, soon to be Skyview Grad, and an all around great kid.  Thanks for hiking with me in the 90 degree heat for some great pictures. Hope everyone is staying cool and have a great weekend – enjoy.

Happy Late Father’s Day

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there. Sorry this is a little late, but any gift is better late than never. This is my favorite gift of all, the gift of photography.  I will be completely honest, I take so many photos of little kids (ages 8 and under) that I am out of my comfort zone with the older kids. These guys did amazing, came up with such wonderful ideas, loved taking photos, and listened (unlike some of my little kids).

I had a great evening with everyone. Thank you so much for emailing me and I think it was the perfect gift. Enjoy the sneak peak – almost done with them all!

Eric & Anna

This couple has been such a joy to get to know. They grew up down the street from one another, have been friends forever, and finally it clicked and now they get to spend the rest of their lives together. Friendship is amazing and when it can turn into romance, then love, and finally marriage I smile. They have wonderful support from friends and family. Congratulations Eric and Anna!!! I wish you a lifetime of laughter and love – such a beautiful day – thanks for asking me to capture it and be apart of it.

I feel color and black/white photography is timeless, which is why 95% of my photos are natural and hopefully everlasting. I do however edit a couple photos with new looks/styles that are in. It seems within the last few years we have a vintage era happening and photography is also following. I edit a few photos with the new “vintage” look and usually fall in love. Hopefully my viewers do too. I love the look of the next photo – pure happiness. This is what I experienced all day, such a perfect match.

Below is a collage of some of my favorite photos from the day. When it is full sun and very bright I tend to LOVE black and white. There is such beautiful contrast and elegance that looks stunning in any lighting.  Anna – you were radiant on your wedding day, just stunning.

They also decided to not see each other until after the ceremony. They went back and hid after the ceremony to allow time for guests to exit. The guest were told to eat during photos and everything went smoothly. They did get to say a few words to each other hiding behind a fence. It made for a cute moment between them.  DanWalt Gardens was gorgeous this time of year.

To see more from their amazing day, click here to watch the slide show. Congratulations and I wish you the best – you are a perfect fit.

WOW Heather! They were a beautiful couple and a beautiful wedding, but you truly outdid yourself again! Amazing photos!!!!!

Sweetness {Billings newborn Photographer}

I am pretty tired, but I want to get some photos up of this little peanut – just hoping that this makes sense.  Some days I sit at my computer and stare at the screen for what seems like hours with nothing catchy to say. Probably why lately I have been more into Facebook and just loading up pictures.

This family is awesome AND a past wedding couple of mine.  It is so special to watch couples as their families grow.  Their little girl is so sweet, slept great, and loves her parents. She could not stay awake for either of them; they have the cuddle rock DOWN. Enjoy all these sweet photos and hopefully the first photo brings a smile to everyone’s face. I love when newborns smile – she is already dreaming of sweetness…

Most of the time my favorite photo is a pose the baby did all on their own, they look more natural and comfortable. She is a side sleeper and looks precious in the photo below – my favorite!

Congratulations to such a sweet addition. Thank you for having me capture her newborn stage… they grow up too quickly. Enjoy it.

You are amazing as always Heather! My little niece looks adorable and I am so happy you were able to catch the beauty of their family.

Heidi Grevious
